Minbits Trains Employees and Management for Cybersecurity and Data Privacy
Iligan City – Minbits (Mindanao Business and IT Solutions) Corp agrees with the quote of the famous hacker Kevin Mitnick, "You can have the best technology, firewalls, intrusion-detection systems, biometric devices. All it takes is a call to an unsuspecting employee, and that's all she wrote, baby. They got everything."
Consequently, Minbits Corp conducted an “Employee Capability Training on Cybersecurity Awareness and Introduction to Data Privacy Act of 2012.”
The training was held last 23 May 2020 at Minbits Corp Office in Tubod, Iligan City from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, and was attended by all Minbits management and employees, both physically and virtually through Skype webinar.
The training focused on enabling the employees and management knowledge and skill to identify cybersecurity threats particularly on social engineering, phishing, and scams.
In addition, a training also on Data Privacy Act of 2012 taught the participants the obligations and duties of Minbits Corp in handling the data it gathered from the client and from the organization itself. It also educated the participant on how to protect these data.
